Ruth Hammond Armstrong, 84, died October 3, 2009. She is survived by her son Glenn Armstrong and wife Barbara; brothers Dr. William Hammond and Robert Hammond and wife Doris and many other family and friends. Mrs. Armstrong was preceded in death by her parents James and Grace Hammond; and daughter Nancy. Ruth was a loving mother and sister and will be dearly missed. She was a gifted musician, enjoyed performing and teaching piano and violin. A graveside service will be held at the Greenwood Cemetery family plot in Barnesville, Georgia.
