Phillip James Carrillo 1965-2009. Phillip James Carrillo, age 44, a lifelong resident of Belen, NM, passed away on Friday, September 18, 2009 after a long illness. He was a graduate of Belen High School and worked for both the County Clerks Office and the State of NM and most recently with Sandia National Laboratories as a Security Police Officer. Those who knew Phillip remember him as a loving husband and father and faithful friend. He enjoyed camping with his family, hunting and fishing with his brothers and evening sunsets. Phillips brothers wish to express their sincere gratitude to Judith for her unwavering love, care, and devotion to their brother Phillip during this difficult time. "Judith, we love you and will always be there for you and the boys." Special thanks to his SRT brothers from Sandia who stood by him throughout his illness. He enjoyed a special bond with them and always looked forward to returning to work. He was preceded in death by his father, Pat E. Carrillo; and his father-in-law, Lin P. Griego. Phillip is survived by his high school sweetheart and loving wife of 19 years, Judith Griego Carrillo; two sons, Phillip and Bryan; his mother, Annie Carrillo; mother-in-law, Tarcila Griego; four brothers, Lorenzo and wife, Barbara, Anthony and wife, Martha, Moises and wife, Denise, Norman and wife, Heidi Carrillo; and in-laws, Kenny and Sandra Griego, Joanne and Robert Sanchez, Danny and Mary Griego, Diane and Jim Nakos, Michael and Roberta Griego, Philip and Rosalie Griego, and Patricia and Jon Trujillo. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews in addition to great-nieces and nephews. All services will be held at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church, beginning with a viewing on Sunday, September 20, 2009 at 2:30 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 3:00 p.m. A final visitation will be held on Monday, September 21, 2009 at 9:30 a.m. with a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Belen Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Phillip Jr., Norman, Patrick, Joseph, and Mathew Carrillo, Lori Anne McBride, Chris Jaramillo and Diego Trujillo.
