Obituary for WAAGEN

Published in the Albuquerque Journal on Thursday September 17, 2009

Jayson "Jamie" Paul Waagen, age 39, beloved son, father and brother joined his heavenly family Monday, September 7, 2009, following a tragic accident. Jayson was born in Harvey, North Dakota on December 2, 1969. He lived his younger years in North Dakota, moving to Albuquerque, NM in 1988. Jayson was a member of the National Guard in North Dakota until a back injury resulted in a medical discharge. He was employed by Centurion Management since 2005. His supervisors and co-workers became his extended family. He was a very hard worker and loyal to his employer. Behind the wall he built to protect himself from getting hurt by others-like a shining star, emanated a very caring, compassionate and good person, always willing to pitch in when anyone needed help. Jayson is survived by his loving mother, Gayle File and step-father, Michael of Albuquerque, NM; his dad, Stan, step-mother, George Anne Waagen of Jamestown, ND; his sons, Chayse and Kyle Waagen with their mother Maria of Los Lunas, NM; his brother Kevin File of Rio Rancho, NM; his sisters, Dayna Carhart of Vancouver, WA, Krista Fernandez of Albuquerque, NM and Carneen, Chrisanne and Rebecca all of North Dakota; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Jayson will be greatly missed by all. We know our Lord is holding Jayson tightly in His arms, while we here on earth are comforted in knowing that someday we will find one another and we will all be together in that big somewhere out there. Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Jayson's life, Friday, September 18, 2009, at 6:00 p.m. at the Daniels Family Funeral Services, Carlisle Chapel.
