Ruby Martinez, 83, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, NM, passed away into our Heavenly Father's arms on Thursday, August 27, 2009 with her beloved family by her side. Mrs. Martinez was born on February 6, 1926 to Esquipula and Juanita (Mendoza) Montoya of Albuquerque, NM. She was preceded in death by her father, Esquipula; mother, Juanita; husband, Manuel Martinez; two sons, Michael Martinez and Felix Martinez; daughter, Anita Montoya; two grandsons, Martin Montoya and Michael Martinez; and son-in-law, James DeMarcus. Mrs. Martinez is survived by her children, Mary DeMarcus, Judy Molina and husband, Leroy, Veronica Montoya and husband, Casper, and Daniel Martinez; 21 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; and siblings, Victoria Valdez; Luis Montoya and wife Helen, Cornelio Montoya, and Pete Montoya. A Viewing and Visitation will be held from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, August 28, 2009 at St. Anne's Catholic Church, 1400 Arenal Rd SW. Following the Viewing, the Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m., also, at St. Anne's Catholic Church. The Celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM at St. Anne's Catholic Church with Fr. Nick Nichols, celebrant. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
