Obituary for PEDERSON

Gary Pederson, 67, passed away on August 17, 2009. He was born December 24, 1941, in Bismarck, ND, to Wes and Velma Hall. Gary was adopted at age six, by Sig and Gunda Pederson, and raised in Grand Forks, ND. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his infant daughter, Shauna Rae. Gary is survived by his daughters, Stacy Cheshire and her husband Rob, of Camp Lejeune, NC, Stephanie Ferner and husband Jeff , of Albuquerque; his grandchildren, William and Max Cheshire, Tavin and Cheyenne Ferner; his brother, Leon Wedar and wife LaVonne, of Minot, ND; his sister, Barbara Harris, of Bismarck, ND; numerous nieces and nephews; and ex-wife, Carolyn. He served in the Army from 1959 to 1963 with honorable discharge. Gary worked in construction building a home in ND, and then worked for Minnesota Dairy. In 1973 he moved to Santa Fe, NM and was a service manager for Cimino's Santa Fe Mazda Volvo. Later Gary went to work for Volvo line as Service Manager and was instrumental in the dealership and its move to a new facility. In 1981, he moved to Albuquerque and began a successful career with Snap-On-Tools. In 1991 he began an association with National Tools. Many of the younger dealers would come to him for advice. He retired in 2005. Gary always had a joke and a hearty laugh. He loved anything related to car racing or Johnny Cash. He would always go out of his way to help others and to lend a helping hand. Services will be held Saturday, August 29, 2009, at Daniels Family Funeral Services, Wyoming Chapel, at 2:00 p.m., Visitation to follow. Burial will take place on Monday, August 31, 2009, at 11:30 a.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
