Albert "Al" Gonzales, 66, a native New Mexican, passed away on Monday, August 17, 2009 with his family and friends by his side. He is survived by his brother, Harold Gonzales and wife Jimmie; sister, Mabel Hendrickson and husband Ray, sister, Angie Soto and husband Sam; brother Felix Gonzales and wife Gloria; nieces and nephews, Amanda Skarsgard and husband Erik, Stacie Soto, Felicia Spicochi and husband John, Chris Gonzales, Jon Soto, Estevan Gonzales, and Roy Hendrickson; great niece Eliana Soto and great nephews Keyen Soto and Robin Hendrickson, and a baby Skarsgard on the way. He also had many other family members and special friends including all his golf buddies. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sylvia Gonzales; wife, Juin Baum; and brother, Lorenzo "LJ" Gonzales. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Casa Esperanza Patient Navigation Program, 1005 Yale NE, Albuquerque, NM 87106. A Rosary will be recited on Sunday, August 23, 2009, at 6:00 p.m. at French - Westside Chapel, with a reception following until 9:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 24, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church followed by interment at Santa Fe National Cemetery in Santa Fe, NM at 1:00 p.m. Please visit our online guest book for Albert at RememberTheirStory.com.
