Bill Roller, formerly of Albuquerque and of Gallup, died August 8, 2009 at age 87. He was promotions director for Winrock Center for many years and the first accredited shopping center promotions director in New Mexico. He was well-known for his work in various capacities of the newspaper business, including participation in Albuquerque Press Club's annual Gridiron show. Bill served with the First Division of the U.S. Marine Corps in the Pacific during World War II, on Peleliu and Okinawa. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Twila; a son, Steve; and his sister, Doris. He is survived by his wife, BobAnn; children, Donna Harris, Kay Storr, Robin Dickson, and Dean Roller; his two sisters-in-law; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held in Hugo, OK, and graveside services with military honors were in Southwest City, MO.
