Macedon Lucero, a beloved and devoted husband, father, Grandfather, great grandfather and brother, passed away on Friday, August 14, 2009. Mr. Lucero was pre-deceased in death by his two sons, David Lucero and Macedon Lucero Jr.; and by his parents, Abran and Conrada Lucero. Macedon is survived by his loving wife for over 50 years, Judy Lucero of Albuquerque, N.M.; children, Stephanie (Jesus) Lucero of Flagstaff, AZ., Lorraine Lucero of Watonga, OK., Manuel (Julie) Lucero of Flagstaff, AZ., Natalie (Sam) Sicilia of Jacksonville, AR.,Christiane (Jeff) Diamond of Jacksonville, AR., and Connie (Gerardo) Gamboa of Flagstaff, AZ.; 20 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Louisa Dean and Rita Lucero; and many nieces and nephews. A Rosary Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, August 17, 2009, at St. Therese Little Flower Catholic Church, 300 Mildred Ave. N.W., Albuquerque, N.M. There will be also a second Rosary Service at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 19, 2009, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, in Flagstaff, AZ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m.,on Thursday, August 20, 2009 also in Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, followed by a burial in Calvary Cemetery in Flagstaff, AZ.
