Elreena "Ga" Glober, 94, born in Santa Fe and resident of Albuquerque, passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2009. She is survived by her daughter, Karen Garcia and husband, Luther C.; granddaughters, Elisa Chavez and husband, Matthew, and Elreena Garcia; nieces, Rena Mae Cappel, Carol Ann Polaco and husband, Larry, Sandra Gean Miner and husband, Robert, and Charlotte Higgins and husband, Larry; nephew, William Arrighi and wife, Sandra; and several generations of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Q. Glober; parents, Mabel and William Dominic Arrighi; sister, Corinne Gonzales; and brother, William John Arrighi. Elreena was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She graduated from Regina School of Nursing and worked as a nurse at St. Vincent's in Santa Fe, and St. Joseph's and Presbyterian in Albuquerque. She cared for and helped raise many members of her family and friends. Special thanks to her home care nurses, Roni Lockhart and Jackie Coleman and the staff at Vista Care Hospice. Rosary will be recited Sunday, August 9, 2009, 6:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, August 10, 2009, 10:00 a.m. at St. Therese Little Flower Catholic Church, 300 Mildred Ave. NW. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. Pallbearers will be Rick Miller, John Miller, Ken Patton, Matthew Chavez, Damion Garcia, and Dublin Gonzales. Honorary Pallbearers will be Luther M. Garcia, William Arrighi, Edward Garcia, Kirt Pulaski, and Steven Maize.
