Obituary for QUINTANA

Vernon H. Quintana, age 51, a life-long resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Saturday, August 1, 2009, after a long battle of heart disease. He was preceded in death by his wife MaryAnn Baca-Quintana; parents, Joe Pete and Emma Quintana; siblings, Edwin and Marlene. He is survived by his children, Brian Brown and wife Crissy, Joey Quintana and wife Nicole, Crystal Sanchez and husband Kenneth, Marlene Quintana and partner Travis Lucero, Santana and Isaiah Quintana; grandchildren, Gabriel and Kenny Ray Sanchez and Beautiful Paris Quintana; brothers, Michael Quintana Sr. and wife Annabelle, Robert Quintana Sr. and wife Gloria; one sister, Evelyn Q. Martinez and husband David; a dear friend, Randy Nelson; along with numerous family and friends. Vernon will be remembered for his sense of humor, love of laughter, nature, life and big heart. All services will be held at San Jose Parish, 2401 Broadway S.E. A public viewing will be at 6:00 pm prior to the Rosary being recited on Thursday, August 6, 2009. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated with Fr. Dennis Garcia on Friday, August 7th, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. Pallbearers will be Michael Quintana Jr., Robert Quintana Jr., Jose (Randy) Quintana, Mateo Martinez, Randy Nelson, Manuel Sanchez Sr., Travis Lucero and Alex Baca Jr. Honorary pallbearers are Jimmy Griego, Patrick Torres and Triney Romero. The family is very grateful for all the support and prayers they have received.
