Obituary for HUNTER

Minnette D. Hunter, born July 17, 1917, passed away July 22, 2009, having seen her 92nd birthday. She lived most of her life in St. Louis, MO, but moved to Albuquerque in 2003 to be closer to her son. She resided at The Cottages MCC, in recent years. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 50 years, Rogers Hunter; & her eight much-loved siblings. Her ashes will be interred at Rogers' gravesite at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Nette enjoyed fishing, wherever Rog would take her, from Canada to Mexico to any wet spot in Missouri. She was a den mother to Cub Scouts, a library progenitor at Hudson Elem., a volunteer at St. Matthews Episcopal, a formidable bridge player & singer of songs. She is survived by Tom Hunter, her son & his wife Linda, Hannah Carter & Aaron Hunter; her grandchildren, Olivia Carter; her great-granddaughter and several nephews & nieces, and is beloved of all.
