Mrs. Rebecca C. Magee, 87, a resident of Albuquerque passed away Thursday, July 16, 2009. Mrs. Magee is the beloved mother of Cathy Waite, Joel Magee, Steve Magee and Susan Magee. Mrs. Magee is also survived by her granddaughter, Valerie and husband, Tim Garcia; and great-grandchildren, Jessica Garcia and Keith Garcia. Mrs. Magee was preceded in death by her husband, Joe L. Magee in 1996; and grandson, Leland Fraley in 1993. Mrs. Magee retired from Albuquerque Public Schools after working as the school secretary for many years each at Mountain View and Pajarito Elementary Schools. Mrs. Magee was a voracious reader and loved gardening, sewing, knitting, and her many pets. She was a rare kind soul and a friend to all she met. Services will be held Tuesday, July 21, 2009, 10:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel. Interment will take place at 2:00 p.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
