Paul Richard Klarer passed away on July 2, 2009 after a yearlong battle with cancer, he was 52. Paul was a loving husband and father. He was born in England, June 18, 1957 and has been a resident of Albuquerque since 1980. He was employed by Sandia National Laboratories working in the fields of robotics and aerospace engineering for thirty years. For the last five years, Paul was a manager for division 5340 at Sandia National Laboratories. He was also an award winning songwriter, who wrote music for and played in the local band Rhythm fish. Paul Klarer is survived by his wife, Dr. Darcy Simmons-Klarer; and his son, Kristopher Steven Klarer from Albuquerque; mother Ruth Klarer, from Del Ray Beach Florida; and his brothers Steven Klarer, and his partner, Don Galbreath of Boston Mass., Fred and his wife Diane Klarer of Long Island, New York; Fred's daughter Samantha; and Diana's daughter Rachel,, Andy Klarer and his wife Linda; and their children Nathaniel, and Erin of Houston Texas. Paul's family and friends will celebrate his life on July 11, 2009 at the home of Donovan and Joni Crockett. 2704 Solano NE Albuquerque NM beginning at 6.00 p.m. His family asks that instead of flowers, donations be made to Heritage Home Healthcare, located at 1700 Louisiana NE.
