Obituary for PIERCE

Lloyd W. Pierce, 76, of Cedar Crest passed away Thursday, June 25, 2009. He was born January 26, 1933 to W.L. and Kathleen Pierce in South Norfolk, Virginia. Lloyd was a Korean War veteran and retired as a Warrant Officer from the United States Army after 20 years of service. He then went to work at the University of New Mexico, and retired as the Physical Plant Director at the Medical School. He was married to Maxine N. Jones on July 1, 1955 in Albuquerque. She preceded him in death on December 27, 1998 after 43 years of marriage. He was also preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, William D. Pierce. Lloyd is survived by his two sons, Michael and his wife, Brenda and their children Kimberly, Jennifer, and Aaron, and daughter-in-law, Karen, all of Albuquerque; and Ronald and his wife, Suzette, of Cedar Crest, and their children, Valerie, of Denver, Sandi, of Edgewood, Eric, Ryan, and Joey, of Cedar Crest, and Eric Maes, of Belen. Additionally, Lloyd is also survived by a sister, Ollie L. and her husband, Sim Lowe, of Boulder City, Nevada. A celebration of Lloyd's life will take place at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at 4109 Eubank N.E.
