Obituary for SHIPE

Brooks M. Shipe (Jack) August 30, 1930 - June 18, 2009 Brooks passed away peacefully in his home after a long illness. He is survived by his beloved wife, Yolanda; his daughter Susan and son-in-law Lewis Cuellar, his brother Paul C. Shipe and sister-in-law Lois; his sister Joan Yates; his mother-in-law Corina C. Avila. He was preceded in death by his son Brooks Patrick Shipe; and brother Robert J. Shipe. He has a number of grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He was a longtime resident of Albuquerque. We want to say a very special thanks to Rosie his sister-in-law and brother-in-law Earl Skinner who were always by his side to help, love, and give comfort. We thank all his wonderful friends for their support especially Bill & Nanci Easley. We thank Ambercare, especially Mary Newell, Cheryl Henry, Toney. Brooks was cremated by Direct Funeral Services and requested no memorial services. Remember his quick wit and beautiful smile that lit up his eyes.
