Leola L. Hammer, age 98, of Hart, MI, formerly of Albuquerque, NM passed away Saturday, June 13, 2009 in Michigan. She lived in Albuquerque from 1946 to 1979. She was an active member of the First Church of the Nazarene. She was a classically trained violinist who toured as an evangelist. She is survived by her son, Alan A. (Kathy) Hammer of Oakton, VA; her daughter, Sharon Hammer of Irving, TX; grandchildren, Christian Smith of Wake Forest,and Amy Moore of Portsmouth, VA. The Funeral will be held Tuesday, 2 p.m., at Hart United Methodist Church in Hart, MI. Memorials to Hart United Methodist Youth Group, 308 S. State St., Hart, MI 49420 are appreciated.
