Leo A. Leo was born in Las Vegas, NM in 1923. Leo, a life long resident of New Mexico, passed away suddenly on Monday, June 8, 2009. He was a WWII fighter pilot and flight instructor, former New Mexico State Police Officer, and retired from Sandia Labs as a security officer. He is preceded in death by his son, Jimmy; and daughter Deena. He is survived by his loving wife, Connie of 63 years; brother Elmo of Los Alamos; son Nicky and wife Barbara; daughter Connie Jo and Steele; six grandchildren, Jimmy, Jennifer, Jeremy and wife Jaime, Jayme and husband Steve, Joelle and Juliette; five great-grandchildren, Tiana, Matthew, Maryssa, Kyra, and Ethan; and other relatives and friends. Leo was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, brother, friend and man who always said "It's all about family." Leo was an avid hunter, fisherman, story teller, and cook. He had a life well lived and will always be missed and loved. Graveside Service will be held Monday, June 15, 2009, 2:00 p.m. at Vista Verde , 4310 Sara Rd SE, Rio Rancho
