Alma A. Ehlert, age 73, a resident of Rio Rancho, passed away Monday, June 8, 2009. She was born April 3, 1936 to James and Elsie Brannon of Albuquerque. Alma graduated from Albuquerque High School and later married Wayne Ehlert. Together they founded Hope Christian School in 1976 and administered the school until they retired in 2003. Wayne and Alma attended Faith Chapel for years. Alma is survived by her son, Jeffrey Ehlert and wife, Andrea; grandchildren, Kendahl and Terrance of Rio Rancho; brother, James Brannon and wife, Corla; nephews, Galen Brannon and wife, Pam, Eric Brannon and wife, Jeannine, all of Kansas. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wayne; and son, Barry. Services will be held on Friday, June 12, 2009, 11:00 a.m., at French - Wyoming Chapel. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, 700 Yale SE.
