Dona Ramona Lopez Jaramillo, 87, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, May 25, 2009, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 14, 1922 to Ignacio and Elifida Lopez in Manzano, New Mexico. She was preceded in death by her parents and her devoted husband, Reynaldo Jaramillo and brothers, Ray, Casey and Eddie, one sister, Carol. Ramona is survived by her son Phil and wife Mary, Nash and wife Jackie, Arthur and wife Kathy, Ray and wife Veronica, Joseph and wife Yolanda, Johnny and wife Christina, two daughters Mary Lujan and companion Victor, Corine Ruiz and husband Alex and one very special provider her grandson, Albert. Three brothers, Ignacio Joe and wife Pauline, Moses and wife (Mary) Chita, Steve "Tito" and wife Irene; seven sisters, Flora and husband Manuel, Emily and husband David, Sandra and husband Freddie, Viola and husband Xavier, Aurelia and husband Louie, Barbara and husband Bob, Stella and husband Jamie; and two sister-in-laws, Kathy Lopez and Angie Jaramillo. 23 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren. Ramona was employed as a Foster Grandmother at Navajo and Kit Carson Elementary schools. She was also a member of St. Edwin's Catholic Church and a member of the Altar Rosary Society and a Cursillista and Centro De Amo. Pallbearers will be Billy Jaramillo, Fermin Lujan, James Jaramillo, Chris Ruiz, Bobby Jaramillo, Mickey Jaramillo, Jessica Barela and Casey Jaramillo. A visitation will be held at the 8th Street Chapel of Garcia Mortuary on Friday, May 29, 2009 beginning at 5:00 p.m. A Rosary will be recited Friday, at 7:00 p.m., also at the 8th Street Chapel of Garcia Mortuary and Mass of Christian Burial will celebrated on Saturday, May 30, 2009 at 9:00 a.m., at St. Edwin's Catholic Church.
