Naomi Ruth Reichenbach Chase, 66, a life long resident of Albuquerque, passed away Saturday, May 23, 2009, after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. She is survived by her loving husband of 10 years, Jim Chase; children, Tammy Regan of Albuquerque, Randy Reichenbach and wife, Dao Mai of Seattle, WA, and Kimberly Chase of Albuquerque; two granddaughters, Rachelle Regan and Asha Reichenbach; great-grandson, Phillip Andrew Olk; sister-in-law, Sharon Woods of Kokomo, IN; and other relatives and friends. Naomi was preceded in death by her first husband, Marvin Reichenbach; parents, Ralph and Ruth Gustin-Babcock; and step-father, Worthy Babcock. She was born on December 10, 1942, in Kokomo, IN and moved to Albuquerque as a young child. Naomi graduated from Highland High School. She worked for PNM as an accounting supervisor until her retirement in 2001. Naomi loved traveling, any type of craft project, and was known for making the perfect card. Her heart was in every home-made cross stitched Christmas stocking, Amish cookies, chocolate fudge, and the creation of individual bows for every present she wrapped. She was an elegant, organized, and loving woman who was always ready for adventure. Naomi grew up in the Church of the Nazarene. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, Saturday, May 30, 2009, at 1:00 p.m. with Chaplain Mary Catherine Casey officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd NE.
