Obituary for BOYD

Bill Boyd, 83, a loving father, brother, Papa and Great Papa went peacefully to be with the Lord on May 22, 2009. Born February 8, 1926, in Salina, Oklahoma, he served in the U.S. Army 3rd Infantry Div. in WWII and was awarded the Bronze Star. Bill later married and had four children. He worked for the San Juan County Sheriff's Department and retired from El Paso Natural Gas. He was a life-long Mason, loved baseball, country music, western movies and dancing. Most of all he enjoyed his friends and family. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, E.D. and Florence; daughters, Kathleen and Patsy Kay; brothers Jesse, Johnny and Frances; and sisters Bula and Faye. He is survived by his daughter, Jeannie; son, Bill David; brother Philip; sisters Sue, Willa, Juanita and Mary Ann; grandchildren Ginger, Tammy, Deanna, Bill John and Jennifer; great-grandchildren Mindy, Amie, Madie, Cleo, Tyron, Chandler, Tess & Jack. Bill will be greatly missed by all who knew him and will be forever in our hearts. Memorial Services will be held at Daniels Family Funeral Services, Wyoming Chapel, Thursday, May 28, 2009, 12:30 p.m., with military burial service to follow, Santa Fe National Cemetery, with honors.
