Obituary for BUSTAMANTE

Antonia (Baca) Bustamante, age 79, a resident of Peralta, NM, passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2009. She was born to the late Antonio and Librada (Montoya) Baca. Antonia was a member of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. She was also a volunteer at the VA Hospital in Albuquerque, NM where she visited and helped with patients. Antonia worked at the Rio Valley Green Houses in Albuquerque. She loved dancing and playing bingo. Her home was always opened to anyone, full of unconditional love, compassion, forgiveness and a smile. If you needed her she was always there for you. Antonia loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Sylvestre, Louie, Ralph and Manuel Baca; and her two children, Elizabeth Bryan and Kenneth Bustamante. Antonia is survived by her siblings, Johnny Baca and wife, Lupe, Connie James, Mona Flores, Lupe Hooker and Ruben Baca and wife, Carol; her loving children, Geraldine Palmer, Gale Romero, Eileen Gilbert Maez, Joseph Bustamante, Tommy Bustamante and wife, Gina and Diana Meinetzer and husband, Ed; 20 loving grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; special sister-in-law, Gloria Baca; her best friend, Ruby Romero and her special friend, Donald Montano. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, family and friends. A visitation will be held at Romero Funeral Home Chapel, on Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at 5:30 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m. A final visitation will be held at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church, on Wednesday, May 27, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. with a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Belen Memorial Gardens.
