Obituary for MICO

Carmela Mico, 81, was called to her maker on May 16, 2009, following a short illness. She was born in Dennison, Ohio on January 17, 1928. She was preceded in death by her mother, Frances Mossa and father Antonio Mico. As a model single woman, she spent her professional nursing career initially in Ohio, having graduated September 2, 1955 from the City Hospital of Cleveland, Ohio. She continued her career as a registered nurse in Colorado and New Mexico. She is survived by her brother, Paul Mico and spouse Helen of Oakland, California; her sister, May Mico Bem of Colorado Springs, Colorado and spouse James; and her brother, Richard Mico of Corrales, New Mexico and spouse Elva. Besides her professional career as a nurse, she was private nurse and primary caregiver to her mother for many years. Among her joys in life were her pet Yorkie, Rocky, mastering difficult crossword puzzles, and enjoying her family. A very loving person, she will be missed by many.
