Obituary for MORRISON

Pauline A. Morrison, 84, died May 16, 2009 in Albuquerque. She was born June 28, 1924 in Portia, Arkansas, to Jake and Bertha Gay Turnbow, one of nine children. Her beloved husband of 58 years, Charles W. Morrison, died in 1998. Her sister Helen Parrish and brothers Harold, Billy Joe, and David, also predeceased her. Pauline is survived by her children Charles R. Morrison of Sierra Vista, Arizona, W. Pat Morrison of Lubbock, Texas, and Sharon Ann Martinez of Castle Rock, Colorado and their spouses. Also surviving are her brother John Turnbow of Wichita Falls, Texas, and sisters Marcelline Wise of Burkburnett., Texas, June Surrago of Randolph, New Jersey, and Carolyn Johnson of Wichita Falls, Texas. Nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren will miss Pauline. Pauline lived in Moriarty, NM for 37 years, then 16 years in Albuquerque. She was active in the Moriarty Methodist Church and a longtime participant in community affairs. Many friends will remember her fondly. Memorial Services will be held at 3:00 p.m., on Wednesday May 20, at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 9500 Constitution NE. Graveside Services will be held at a later date at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity or Boys Ranches of Texas or New Mexico.
