Obituary for CHATWIN

Nora Chatwin, age 80, resident of Bosque Farms, passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2009. She was born on Wednesday, January 9, 1929 in Taos, New Mexico to Domitila and Juan Manuel Trujillo. Nora married Wallace Dayton Chatwin on June 29, 1949 in the Salt Lake Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They lovingly raised six children and she is survived by, Susan and husband, Stephen Peterson, Lynn and wife, Joni Chatwin, Carolyn and husband, Richard Murset, Lorraine and husband, David Reschke, Kevin and wife, Shannon Chatwin, Sherri and husband, Jeffrey Thayne. Nora is also survived by 27 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; sisters, Ursula Cantu, and Marcia and husband, Tim O'Bryant; brothers, Arturo Trujillo, Tito and wife, Carmen Trujillo, and Jesse and wife, Ginger Trujillo; and numerous nieces and nephews. Nora was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wallace Chatwin; sisters, Magdalena Trujillo, and Lorraine Garza; brothers, Rafael Trujillo, and Levi Trujillo; and great-grandson, Noah Peterson. Nora was a devoted wife and mother and made each child and grandchild feel like they were her favorite. Living the Gospel of Jesus Christ was an integral part of her life and she was an example of Christ-like love and service to all who knew and loved her. Services will be held Saturday, May 16, 2009, 10:00 a.m., at the Los Lunas Stake Center, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints on James Street in Los Lunas. Viewing will be at 9:00 a.m. at the Church. A Service will also be held in Taos Monday, May 18, 2009, 10:00 a.m., at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 235 Camino Del Santiago Rd.
