Obituary for HILDEBRANDT

Published in the Albuquerque Journal on Sunday May 10, 2009

Mary Lucille October 4, 1931 - August 16, 2008 I hold you close in my heart, today, as I do every day, missing you and loving you. I treasure my memories of you, our conversations, and all that you made special. You outdid yourself with your extra special care as a Mom, and devotion that you put into everything you did for all of us. You magnified what a Mom should be a million times over. I so wish you could be there as we gather in celebration of Kate and Sam's graduation in a couple weeks. I know you would have been not only the most beautiful Grandma there, but the proudest. You liked to tell your stories about the two of them: Katie being the one to comfort Sam at your sleepovers, their first experience driving each other when Sam got his "jeep" at age four-scary, and the most funniest you thought, when they'd put their arms around each other for support and confront us parents, when they were toddlers, and in trouble for something. I remember how much you loved, and you laughed. Today and always, you remain forever in my heart. Happy Mother's Day, dearie!
