Celestine Katherine (Oats) Hawley, 90, passed away May 6, 2009. She was born April 30, 1919 on a farm near Monticello, Iowa to Mary A. (Kohl) and Lannis W. Oats. She was of the Roman Catholic faith. She was a WWII veteran having served in the U.S. Navy (W.A.V.E.S.) 1943-1946. Her parents preceded her in death; as did her step father, Homer A. King; her husband, Roland G. Hawley; and her step brother, Lawrence King. She is survived by her step daughters, Roberta Beaudway, of Arona, PA and Patricia Nesler, of Elgin IL; step brother and wife, Clayton and Donna King, of Albuquerque, NM; nephew and wife Kenneth and Cyndonna King; niece Karen King, of Albuquerque, NM; three grandchildren, Lee Nesler, of Pittsburg, PA, Clay and wife Donna Nesler, of Brookfield, WS, Scott and wife Karen, of Ambridge, PA; and five great-grandchildren, Claire, Thomas, Eric, Jacob, and Sophie. Cremation has taken place. No calling and no services. Entombment will be at Washington Park- North Mausoleum, Indianapolis, IN at a later date.
