Luis R. Madrid, 66, a lifetime resident of New Mexico, passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2009. He is survived by his wife of 46 years Evangelina V. Madrid; children Dean Madrid and Matthew Gates, Tammy Madrid, Samantha and Tim McConnell; grandchildren, Anthony and Darren Madrid, Ariel, Nathan and Cody McConnell; mother Elvira Madrid; sisters Linda Lucero and Carrie Madrid, and many other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Ruben Madrid; sister, Connie Madrid and brother, Richard Madrid. Luis was a well known residential and commercial contractor. He was fun loving, caring, generous and was always willing to help those in need. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He will be missed forever by all those who knew and loved him. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at French Mortuary Westside Chapel, 9300 Golf Course Rd NW. A Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 30, 2009 at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, 5712 Paradise NW, with a reception to follow at the church. Friends may visit French Mortuary one hour prior to rosary.
