Thelma Smith, 81, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 21, 2009. Thelma is survived by her two sons, Thomas Smith, and Robert Smith; one daughter, Chaya Maxwell; grandchildren, Charlotte Chimenti and husband, Damian, Andrew Smith, Madeline Smith, Calilah Ananda, Jade Ananda, Aliza Maxwell, Sam Maxwell, and Bryan Gibson; one great-grandchild, Alana Chimenti; and one niece, Judy Laporte and husband, John. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, Preston Smith. Thelma will be dearly missed by all who knew her. The family wishes to send a special thanks to Presbyterian Hospice. Graveside Services will be held Monday, April 27, 2009, 11:00 a.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery, 501 Guadalupe St., Santa Fe, New Mexico 87501.
