Mary Sickels, 72, a resident of Albuquerque since 1946, passed away Thursday, April 23, 2009. She is survived by her sisters Fran Berglund and husband, Dale, Patricia Salge and husband, Gerry, all of Albuquerque; brothers, Fred McAchran and wife, Betty of Virginia Beach, VA, Robert McAchran and wife, Karen of Aztec, NM; sister-in-law, Julie McAchran, and many nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Sickels, and brother, Wayne McAchran. Mrs. Sickels worked for Wal-Mart for 18 years where she will be remembered by many as the friendly person who greeted them. She had a passion for knitting and she donated countless caps, booties and blankets to newborns at local hospitals. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, April 29, 2009, 11:00 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. N.E.
