Nora A. Vigil, 95, a resident of Torreon, NM, and currently living in Albuquerque, NM entered into Eternal Life on Monday, April 13, 2009. Our precious mother and little grandma was born on March 24, 1914 in Torreon, NM to Salomon and Catalina (Chavez) Archuleta. On December 28, 1931, en el dia de los inocentes, Nora and Manuel Vigil, Sr., entered into Holy Matrimony. Nora is survived by her loving daughter, Nettie V. Chavez; her grandchildren, Randolph Chavez, Marlene Garcia and husband, Jimmy, Lenora Chavez, Gerald Chavez, Edward Chavez and wife Joni, and Gloria Chavez. Seven great-grandchildren: Alberto Garcia, Daniel Garcia, Aaron Garcia, Gabriel Garcia, Katrina Garcia, Nicolas Chavez, and Randy Chavez; and great-great-grandson Ezra M. Garcia. Her brothers and sisters, Eddie Archuleta, Kate Cook, Rubel Archuleta, Ermelinda Archuleta, Salomon Archuleta, Jr. and Adelina Archuleta and by numerous nieces and nephews. Nora is preceded in death by her husband Manuel Vigil, Sr.; sons, Rudolfo and Manuel Vigil, Jr.; brother Onesimo Archuleta; sisters Alice A. Rodarte and Juanita A. Otero. She was a member of the San Antonio Catholic Church in Torreon, NM. Pallbearers will be her great-grandchildren, Alberto Garcia, Daniel Garcia, Aaron Garcia, Gabriel Garcia, Katrina Garcia, Nicolas Chavez and Randy Chavez. Honorary Pallbearers will be her great-great-grandson Ezra M. Garcia, Jimmy Garcia and Frank Moya. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Dennis Garcia of San Felipe de Neri Parish in a private family Service.
