Obituary for MALLOW

Published in the Albuquerque Journal on Sunday April 12, 2009

Victor Mallow, 80, longtime resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 5, 2009. He will be sorely missed by his beloved wife, Dorcine E. Mallow, with whom he shared a close and loving relationship for 60 years; his sister Lee Mathews of Salida, Colorado; his daughters Vikki Pahia of Hauula, Hawaii, and Kathi Mallow of Albuquerque, New Mexico; grandsons Kekoa Pahia and Trevor Mallow; granddaughter Samantha Velasquez; cousins, nieces and nephews; and many fine and wonderful friends. Vic was a kind and loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, who will be missed by all who knew him. After his retirement from the JCPenney Company, Vic and Dorcine enjoyed many years of travel, both with family and friends. He treasured the many hours of pleasure he and his wife shared with their square-dancing and bowling friends. He loved spending time in his workshop, especially with his grandson Trevor, and loved the simple pleasure of sitting in the sun with his daughter Kathi. A Memorial Service for Vic will take place on Saturday, April 25, 2009 at 11:00 am, in the Chapel at Gate of Heaven Cemetery & Mausoleum, 7999 Wyoming NE. A reception luncheon will follow at the Mallow home. In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to the American Diabetes Association. Dad, we will miss you every day forever. We love you, and we are all so grateful to be blessed by your presence in our lives. May our Heavenly Father bless you with sunshine, peace and joy for all eternity.
