Mary Ann Bennett, 81, was born in Montreal, Canada and a resident of Albuquerque since 1964, passed away after a short illness on Friday, April 3, 2009. Mary is survived by her husband of 51 years, Robert; five children Kathryn Mary Pilnock, JoAnn L. Rosch and husband Peter, Robert Scott Bennett and wife Renee, Douglas B. Bennett and wife Elizabeth and Lori Anne Merrill and husband Charles; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and sister Barbara Middleton. Mary was a doll artisan, and owned and operated Mari Originals Dolls for 30 years in Albuquerque. She instructed many in the art of doll making where she made numerous friends. She was a member of the Doll Artisan Guild, a member of the NM Ceramic Association and was a past-president of the Ceramic Association. She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. Service will be Wednesday, April 8, 2009, 10:00 a.m. at French Lomas Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd., NE. Interment will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
