Donald S. LeVie, Sr., 84, was called home on Monday, March 30, 2009 after a long illness. He is survived by his wife L. Shirley LeVie; son Donald Jr. and wife Jeanette of Austin, Texas, son Brian and wife Debbie of Rio Rancho; grandchildren Michelle Evans, Casey and Jamie LeVie; great-grandchildren Tyler and Hailey Evans; brother-in-law Donald C. Monroe, Jr.; and many friends and family in Florida and Massachusetts. A native of Gloucester, MA, he served with U.S. Marines (6th Marine Division) in South Pacific during WWII, earning two Bronze Stars and a Purple Heart. He was a former police officer in Gloucester, MA, and Ft. Lauderdale, FL, before joining and retiring from U.S. Postal Service. He knew the Lord Jesus Christ.
