Donald C. Grange, 90, resident of Albuquerque since 1955, passed away Monday, March 23, 2009 at home. He was born Saturday, February 1, 1919 in Longmont, CO to Dr. C.H. and Mary Mae (Cleland) Grange. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Dorothy "Dottie" Grange; one daughter, Carol Black and husband, Wayne of Peralta, NM; one son, Gary E. Grange and wife, Betty of Albuquerque; five grandchildren, Susan Black Conner and husband, J.D., Patrick Black and wife, Dana, Chad Grange, Kacie Grange, and Jennifer Detrana; five great-grandchildren, Tristen, Liam, Anna, and Madelyn Conner, and Samantha Detrana. Donald graduated with honors from the University of Colorado with a degree in Geology in 1941. He worked as a geophysicist for Brown Geophysical Company in Houston, TX and later as an independent geologist in TX, CO, CA, AZ and NM. He became an Equitable Life Assurance Agent in 1959 and earned a CLU designation in 1964, retiring in 1981. Donald liked to fish and travel, having traveled in all 50 states, Mexico, Canada and many countries in Europe. Cremation has taken place and private services were held.
