G.P. "Duke" Duquette died in his wife's arms surrounded by love on March 6, 2009. He was greatly loved & will be profoundly missed. He is survived by his wife Ruthe Duquette, his daughter and son-in-law, Andrea & Chuck McCrae and his daughter, Kristen Duquette-LeFevre; two grandsons; a granddaughter; a great-granddaughter; a great-grandson; a sister and nephews and nieces; and many friends. Duke was truly a "renaissance man". A veteran of the Korean War, his career path included bricklayer, salesman, educator, pioneer in computer technology & solar energy. He was an accomplished artist in every medium he tried. His art of cooking was how he expressed his love for his family & friends. His secret ingredients were passion & love. Duke's unique & incredible mind was a gift to the planet enjoyed by the many who knew him as well as those who didn't. We will be celebrating his 76 years of life on Saturday, April 4, 2009 at 2pm at 3312 Malecon Rd. NW, Albuquerque, NM 87120. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to The Storehouse 106 Broadway SE Alb., N.M. 87102 to continue his love & passion of feeding his family & friends.
