Leo "Lee" M. Moya, age 86, a resident of Albuquerque, NM, passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2009. She was a member of St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, where she served as a Lecter, Eucharistic Minister; a member of the Alter Society, and an active member of the Meadow Lark Senior Center and Meadow Lark Singers. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jose Maria and Lugarda (Sanchez) Maestas; four brothers and one sister. Leonarda is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Jack Moya; three loving daughters, Frances Castillo and husband, Dimas, Helen Chavez and husband, Juan and Mary Ann Stracener and husband, Pete; two loving sons, Alex Romero, Jr. and Albert Romero; 20 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two sisters, Lupe Gurule and Dolores Cordova and husband, Johnny; and two brothers, Frank Maestas and wife, Mickie and Johnny Maestas and wife, Nila. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. A public viewing will be held at Romero Funeral Home Chapel, on Friday, March 27, 2009 at 6:30 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A final visitation will be held at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church, on Saturday, March 28, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. with a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Alex Romero, III, Jacob Romero, Joseph Chavez, Mark Jaramillo, Dimas Castillo, Jr. and Raymond T. Chavez. Honorary pallbearer will be Evan Thomas Bernicke.
