Obituary for HALEY

Patricia Arlene Haley passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2009 in Socorro, NM. Pat was born on January 10, 1939 in Plainview, TX to Ralph and Hettie (Morrison) Brown. She is precededed in death by her husband, Scott Haley; and son, Bill Haley. She is survived by her sons, Joel Haley and wife, Dolores; and Mark Haley and wife, Danielle; grandchildren: Chrystal, Kenneth, Kyle, Kevin, Aimee, and Sarah; great grandchildren, Jordan and Tristen; sisters: Otero Scheele of Lockney, TX; Marie Kirby of Demmitt, TX; Maxine Rigler of Brandon, FL; and Shirley Fleming of VanBuren, MO. Pat will be remembered for her patience, kind heart, love of horses and her family. Pat's way of giving back to her community was the ability to teach her expertise in horsemanship and the use of her beloved horses for therapeutic means for all people who came her way. Pat's accomplishments always seemed to revolve around her love of horses. She was admired as being a fair minded judge for local and state wide horse shows. One of Pat's favorite pastimes was being able to teach her family her knowledge of responsibility to others whether it was horses, family or friends. She was honored to be chosen "Woman of the West". Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at the Episcopal/Lutheran Church at 907 Leroy Place in Socorro, NM. Honorary Pallbearers are Pat's grandchildren Chrystal, Kenneth, Kyle, Kevin, Aimee and Sarah Haley.
