Excelso Aragon, 86, a resident of Albuquerque, formerly of Valencia, NM, passed away Saturday, March 21, 2009. Mr. Aragon was preceded in death by his parents, Jose Esac and Raquel Aragon; brother, Isidro Aragon; sister, Mary Castillo brother-in-law, Jimmie Castillo. He is survived by his children, Vicky Reyes and brother-in-law, Martin Reyes, Gilbert Jose Aragon and daughter-in-law, Denise, John Anthony Aragon, Mauricia Susan Espinosa and son-in-law, Matthew; grandchildren, Alonso Trevizo, Alfredo Trevizo, Luis Angel Trevizo, Mari Cruz Trevizo, Jesse Lopez, Megan Espinosa, Marissa Espinosa and Marcus Espinosa all of Albuquerque; great-granddaughters, Raylene Jaramillo of Bernalillo; and Diamond Trevizo; sister, Mauricia Montoya & brother-in-law, Augustine. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends throughout New Mexico and beyond. Excelso was known as a man who enjoyed dancing. He frequently attended dances at several senior centers throughout Albuquerque several times a week. He was always friendly and quick to smile, joke and say hello to friends and strangers alike, and offer his hand to anyone in need. A Rosary will be recited Thursday, March 26, 2009 at 6:00 p.m. at French Mortuary University Chapel. A Mass will be celebrated Friday, March 27, 2009 at 9:00 a.m. at St. Anne's Catholic Church, 1400 Arenal Rd SW. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd NE.
