Georgia "Porgie" Winstead Selby, 82, passed away surrounded by family on March 18, 2009. Born in Beaufort, NC, Georgia lived most of her life in Charlotte and St. Louis with her first husband, William Melvin, until he passed away. She met her current husband in high school, and they re-acquainted at their 50th high school reunion, and later married in 1995. Georgia is survived by her husband, Charles F. Selby; step-daughter Lynda Hahn and her husband David, step-son Kenneth Selby; grandchildren Steven and Michael "Mick" Hahn, and Nicole Selby; and her dear friends who were like daughters to her, Jane Harding, Kaye Jenkins, and Pam Everhart.
