Ralph G. Daitz passed away Monday, March 9, 2009, after a brief illness. He would have been 92 years of age in May. He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Elaine B. Daitz. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Inge Daitz of Westerville OH, their two daughters, Petra and Karolena, and by his daughter Shelley Daitz of Albuquerque, NM. Ralph is also survived by his dear companion and second wife, Eileen Panowski Daitz. He was born in Brooklyn, NY and educated at Brooklyn College and NYU, and lived in many places, settling in Albuquerque in 2001. In his younger days, he was an outstanding athlete and remained an avid sports fan to the end, passing his hours in the hospital watching ESPN. His kindness and the twinkle in his eye made you his friend instantly. He will be missed by all of his extended family and the many friends he made here in Albuquerque.
