Obituary for COLEMAN

Donna L. Coleman, age 79 of Albuquerque, passed away Friday March 6, 2009 at a local Hospital. Surviving are her five children, Patricia Coleman of Albuquerque, Jim Coleman and his wife Leslie of Lake Jackson, TX, Jean Delacour of Albuquerque, Linda Hays and her husband Keith of Albuquerque and Thomas Coleman of Albuquerque, grandchildren; Michael and Jessica Coleman of Lake Jackson, TX, Amanda and Michael Ironside of Albuquerque and many friends. Donna was born in Saginaw, MI on August 28, 1929 graduated from high school in Saginaw and attended secretarial school. She met Bruce F. Coleman during a YMCA dance and later married on September 11, 1948, they lived in several different cities in Michigan before moving to Albuquerque in 1958. He preceded her in death on September 25, 2007 after 59 years of marriage. Donna was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church which was a very important part of her and her late husbands life. Over her lifetime Donna baked hundreds of pies for the Asbury Cafe at the New Mexico State Fair. She enjoyed crafts as well as knitting, crocheting, counted cross stitch. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be celebrated 1:00 p.m., Saturday March 14, 2009 at Asbury United Methodist Church, 10000 Candelaria Rd. NE, with Pastor Milton Propp (ret.) officiating, Private ennichment will take place with her husband at Santa Fe National Cemetery, Santa Fe, New Meixco at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Asbury United Methodist Church, 10000 Candelaria Rd., NE in Donna's name.
