Lillian Conty, 94, resident of Albuquerque since 1937, passed away Saturday, February 28, 2009 surrounded by her family. She is survived by her daughters, Rosemary Cox and Virginia Conway and husband, Bob all of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Christine Conway of Albuquerque and Vincent Conway of De Kalb, IL; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Jimmy Conty. She was the sixth of eight children, all predeceased, born to immigrant parents of San Stefano, Sicily, Italy. Lillian was a true caregiver and nurtured many family and friends throughout her life. She loved people, and her family was the center of her world. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. A memorial Mass will be celebrated Thursday, March 5, 2009, 2:00 p.m. at Mount Calvary Cemetery Chapel, 1900 Edith Blvd NE. Interment of cremated remains will follow.
