Kathryn (Katie) Louise Corcoran, age 44, passed away suddenly from a systemic infection on Saturday February 28, 2009. She is survived by her best friend and love of her life of 27 years, Randy L. Corcoran and her sons Ryan (11) and John (9). She leaves behind her parents Les and Joyce Croughan; sisters Alison (Bruce) Davies, Heather (Reggie) Russell; brothers Andy (Wendy) Croughan and Scott (Deb) Croughan; father-in -law Tom Corcoran, and the late Nancy Corcoran; sisters-in-law Kelly (Stephen) Patterson, Darcy (Mark) Savage and brother-in-law Chris Corcora; and many nieces and nephews. Katie was a 1982 graduate of Highland High School and graduated Summa Cum Laude from St. Mary's University in San, Antonio, Texas, 1986. She married in 1988. She spent her career as Vice President of Downey & Company Insurance and Bonds working with her dear friend and mentor Roger Downey. Though she excelled and valued her career, her zest for life and devotion to family and friends were unsurpassed. Katie enjoyed every moment with her boys, "Rhino" aka "her Babycakes" and her little "Burrito Boy" aka "Boogerboy" and "Juanitoad". She was so proud of her boys and her most precious time was the afternoon shuttle rides with them where she was able to experience their day. Katie was a tireless supporter of numerous causes and touched many lives. Anyone fortunate to have received the "Katie hug" will know that they have been touched by an angel. Her family will never be able to replace their "delicate flower" or "hot chick" as she so self-proclaimed. Rosary service will be held Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at 6:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Fatima with funeral mass on Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. also at Our Lady of Fatima, 4020 Lomas Blvd, NE in Albuquerque.
