Cordelia Rivera On February 22, 2009, Cordelia Rivera Conley went to her Lord. Cordelia was born in Chama NM, July 4, 1921 to Antonio Avan and Rosenda Martinez Rivera. Cordelia was a graduate of El Rito High School, and later from the St. Vincent School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse. She became an operating room nurse in several noted hospitals, including Doctor's Hospital in Washington DC, the Indian Sanitarium in Albuquerque, and concluded her nursing career as the Director of Nursing for the Mesa Lutheran General Hospital in Mesa, Arizona. She was preceeded in death by her husband Vincent W. Conley; and her siblings, Gilbert C Rivera, Servilia Quintana, Adrianna Quintana, Mario Rivera all of Taos, Manuel A Martinez, Severo Martinez, Patrocinio Martinez, Antonio Rivera, all from Santa Fe. Her brother, Conrad Rivera of Santa Fe survives her. Her son Edmundo A. Gonzales and wife Katherine Archuleta of Corrales and Denver and Juanita R. Jennings and husband Claude Jennings of Tennessee survive her. Her grandchildren Melissa R. Kittrell and husband Rob Kittrell of Tampa and Graciela K Gonzales attending Wellesley College survive her. Many nieces and nephews of Taos, Santa Fe, and Albuquerque also survive her. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Thursday and the funeral Mass 9:00 a.m. Friday at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church 9502 4th Street NW; Albuquerque, NM 87114.
