Gordon Stanley Sargent was born August 27, 1934 in Panguitch, Utah to D. Ned and Edna Heaps Sergeant, both deceased. He is survived by his wife, Lea; step-daughter, Karen Klar both of Albuquerque; daughter, Beth Ricks of San Antonio, TX and his brother, Sheldon Sargent of Linden, UT. Gordon grew up and attended school in Cedar City, UT. He graduated from Utah State University in 1957 and was commissioned in the US Air Force. Gordon stayed in the Air Force until 1979. He was in VietNam from 1970 to 1971 and was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross and six Air Medals for his VietNam Tour of Duty. He met and married the former Lea Marshall of Albuquerque in 1981, in Phoenix, AZ. In 1985, they moved to Albuquerque. Gordon had his own tax preparation business from 1987 to 1996. As well, Gordon managed his wife's cocktail lounge, Nu-Lea's Lounge, from 1992 to 1996. Of the 12 states and countries in which he lived, he liked Albuquerque the best.
