Cecilia Emerald Cruz, 92, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 11, 2009. She is survived by her 11 children; 32 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; five great-great- grandchildren; two sisters; and one brother. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband; son; grandson; and a great-grandson. She was a member of Our Lady of Assumption Church for 54 years, and also a member and a volunteer of the Princess Jeanne Senior Center. We don't have the words to express the joy we have that God chose us to be your children. We can only hope to be half the parents to our children as you've been to us. You gave so much to all of us and yet you never asked for anything in return. We may not have said it as often as we should have, but we all loved you deeply. She was dearly loved by her family and will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Rosary will be recited Friday, February 13, 2009, 6:30 p.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Chapel. Mass will be celebrated Saturday, February 14, 2009, 10:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Assumption Church, Lomas at Tennessee NE. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
