Obituary for WIEDEMER

John P. Wiedemer, 90, passed away in his sleep on Thursday, January 28, 2009 in Houston, Texas. He was born on September 20, 1918 in Kansas City, Missouri. He graduated from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania in 1939. He spent many years in the oil and gas business in New Mexico, as well as starting other subsidiary businesses in New Mexico and Arizona. He was a founding member of the Albuquerque Petroleum Club. After moving to Houston, he became active in Real Estate Education, teaching numerous courses and publishing several textbooks. Survivors include his wife, Margaret I. Wiedemer; his sons, John David, James I. and Robert A. Wiedemer; and three grandchildren, Seline, John, and Benson. The Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 21, 2009 at Memorial Drive Methodist Church, 12955 Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas 77079. Flowers are welcomed or a contribution can be made to the Gene Cragg Caring Forever Foundation, both care of the Memorial Drive Methodist Church.
