Willie (Bill) McCabe, 84, died Friday, February 6, 2009. He was born at Breckenridge, TX in 1924. Bill was preceded in death by his wife Ruth in 2007. He is survived by two daughters, Ladena and husband Doug Schuler of Albuquerque, Rozella and husband Darrell Hayes of Virginia; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He retired from Sandia National Labs in 1980. Bill was an active member of the Family Motor Coach Association, was a member of Temple Baptist Church and later attended Eastern Hills Baptist Church. Visitation will be Friday, February 13, 2009, 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at French Lomas Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE. A reception will be held Saturday, February 14, 2009, 9:45 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at Eastern Hills. Services will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Eastern Hills Baptist Church, 3100 Morris NE. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations are suggested to a hospice of your choice.
