Jeanne Belle 48, passed peacefully on January 31, 2009, in Jacksonville. Originally from Albuquerque, NM, she was visiting family here when she took ill. Jeanne was born in Bainbridge, GA, and earned degrees from the University of Mississippi, Providence Hospital of Nursing, University of S. Alabama, and the University of New Mexico. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church in Albuquerque, NM, and worked for Medtronic Corporation as a sales rep. for the pacemaker division. She was dearly loved and will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Jeanne is predeceased by her father Harold M. Phillips. She has left behind to cherish her memory, her mother, Joanne Whitehurst Phillips, of Jacksonville, FL; sisters Nan (Dana) Fluegel, Susan (Stephen) Keeling; nieces and nephews: Katherine Drew, Jeffrey Fluegel, Phillip, Chris, Sally Keeling; and many dear friends in Albuquerque. A memorial service will be held on March 14 at 1 p.m. at Central United Methodist Church, 201 University Blvd. NE, in Albuquerque. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Albuquerque Humane Society, 615 Virginia St. SE, Albuquerque, NM, 87108.
